YMCA's 'Fit Kids' is a range of activities designed to get kids moving in a fun, non competitive environment. Suitable from prep aged through to early secondary, the children are separated into age groups.
The 'Fit Kids' concept is a YMCA initiative designed to engage young children in physical activity in order to combat the trend of obesity in younger generations. In addition, kids learn to play and interact with others whilst learning lifelong skills that will help discourage anti social behaviour. The unique aspect of this concept is that children are offered a large variety of activities, along with fun, professional guidance. These factors combined increase the likelihood of a positive experience, reinforcing the child's perception that they can participate in active group activities regardless of their ability.
Join us on Wednesday and Friday's from 3.30pm. We start with platters of sandwiches, fruits and drinks followed by an hour of fun and games. What a great way to encourage our children to be fit and healthy. Priced to be affordable for all, $5 for one child or $10 for the family.
