Some of the various Health and Fitness activities offered by YMCA Marlin Coast Recreation Centre  include:

  • Group Fitness - Enjoy fun fitness with friends at your local YMCA. We offer a diverse range of group fitness programs delivered by our friendly qualified instructors. From traditional aerobics to boxing based classes, circuits and more alternative health programs. Class held on Wednesday 9am.
  • Bootie Camp - Challenge Fitness Camp is a six-week outdoor group fitness program comprising of three sessions a week with a qualified YMCA fitness instructor. Each session involves a variety of exercises and activities ranging from circuit training, boxing, endurance running, obstacle courses and team based activities – at a variety of locations.
  • Yoga - Yoga is the ideal way to stretch, relax and unwind while improving your general health and well being.  Focusing on flexibility and strengthening of muscles and core stability, yoga combats the stress and tension of modern day life. People who practice yoga regularly experience improved levels of physical, mentail and spiritual well-being. The classes are suited for people of all abilities and experience. Tuesday 6.45pm and Friday 9am.
  • Pilates - Pilates is a contemporary approach to mind and body exercises in which the focus is on developing a strong and stable torso to improve posture and core stength. Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that helps with lower back problems. It is about focusing the mind on how the body works and moves. Experience a new way of movement and control. The classes are suitable for people of all abilitites and experience.
  • Box Fit   - Box Fit is a kickboxing gym based fat burning, cardio-vascular, strength, conditioning and toning exercise workout which teaches traditional kickboxing skills and fitness training techniques. Monday and Wednesday 9am.
  • 50+ Flex & Fit - For all levels of fitness. Improve your fitness and flexibility with taekwondo.

 Creche available for weekday morning classes.
