Through the management of the facility the YMCA seeks to fulfill its mission, focusing the vision of building strong people, strong families and strong communities into the operation, by planning to:

• Provide for and encourage both water related and non-water related leisure and fitness activities for a broad cross section of participants, in particular those who are disadvantaged or disabled.

• Encourage and foster community participation in the planning, development, management and evaluation of the facility.

• Provide a broad range of recreational opportunities for residents.

• Provide young people and inexperienced swimmers the opportunity to acquire skills in water safety and knowledge.

• Provide a venue that encourages and promotes optimal use by community groups and individuals including those that may be disadvantaged or have special needs.

• Develop and maintain customer service standards that apply to the best leisure and aquatic facilities in Australia.
